I'm going to be in durham in a week or two from now, but last time my visit was marred by the behaviour of one or two overly loud ex-student types in the back room. How can i be sure they won't be there this time. I'm sure one was called Boonage or similar, is he a regular? They were also truly awful singers, I seem to recall.

Another great time in the Shakespeare was had by us USA, Welsh, Belfast and London visitors this weekend. Gutted no Polo shirts available though. Any chance of ordering some online??

I must make the effort to travel down to see you and have a few jars in your pub. I almost came down last weekend To 'storming the castle' bike rally but the bikes back brakes are shot, that would have been a perfect excuse to pop in.

Nice pub, but some of the more expensive prices in Durham, especially compared to the other "old tradional" boozers.
